Many trains cancelled due to cyclonic storm Remal, helpline number released, impact visible in Bay of Bengal

The effect of the cyclonic storm Remal forming in the Bay of Bengal has started to be seen. Today it is believed that this cyclone will hit the coastal areas. Due to Remal, the government is making full preparations. On the other hand, many trains have also been canceled due to Remal storm. Along with this, helpline numbers have also been issued. 12 teams of NDRF have been formed in the state to deal with the cyclone. Apart from this, 15 disaster response teams have been formed in Kolkata.
These trains were canceled
- Howrah- Digha Kandari Express will not operate on May 26.
- Panshkudra-Digha EMU Passenger Special will not operate on May 26.
- Digha-Howrah Kandari Express will not operate on May 26.
- Digha-Panshkudra EMU Passenger Special will not operate on May 27.
- Digha-Panshkudra EMU Passenger Special will not operate on May 27.
- Digha-Puri Superfast Weekly train will operate from Kharagpur instead of Digha on 26 May.
Control room established
Keeping in mind the damage caused by Remal, control rooms have already been established. For this, a special control room has been opened in Lalbazar. An integrated comment center has been set up in this control room. Apart from police officers, members of fire brigade, works department, electricity department, forest department, disaster response force, Kolkata Municipality will also be present in this control room. Remal turns into a severe cyclonic storm
Let us tell you that Remal has turned into a severe cyclonic storm. It is expected to reach between Sagar Island of West Bengal and Khepupara of Bangladesh by Sunday night. The Meteorological Department said that this is the first cyclone to hit the Bay of Bengal in the pre-monsoon season.
