Demand to remove Section 144 from Yamunotri Dham

On Sunday morning, people associated with the Chardham Yatra demonstrated at Jankichatti, the last stop of the Dham, regarding the implementation of Section 144 in Yamunotri Dham. People have demanded the removal of Section 144 from Yamunotri Dham. Along with this, they have also demanded to start offline registration.

Sloganeering and demonstration

People demonstrated near the bus parking in protest against stopping vehicles at various places on the Yatra route by closing the gate system. Along with this, people raised slogans against the government and administration. People associated with the Chardham Yatra have alleged that devotees are being harassed by stopping them at various places. Whereas there is vacant space in the bus parking of Jankichatti. 10 lakh devotees visited Char Dham

Only two weeks have passed since the Char Dham Yatra started. In such a short time, more than 10 lakh devotees have visited Char Dham. So far, more than 10.30 lakh devotees have visited Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham. Out of this, the highest number of devotees, 4.47 lakh, have visited Kedarnath Dham.
