Four pilgrims who had come to visit Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib died due to cardiac arrest. Three pilgrims from Punjab died in Hemkund Sahib and one pilgrim died in Badrinath Dham. The death toll in the Char Dham Yatra including Hemkund has reached 62.

According to the information received, Surjeet Singh (35), a resident of Rustamgarh (Sangrur), Punjab, was staying at Base Camp Ghangaria. He was found dead in his room on Sunday. The cause of his death is said to be cardiac arrest.
