‘This is opposition’s propaganda, anyway I am a Yogi…’, Yogi Adityanath spoke for the first time on claims of removal from CM post after elections

The Bharatiya Janata Party is claiming to win 80 out of 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections. The opposition says that after the elections, the party will remove Yogi Adityanath from the post of CM. In a special conversation with Aaj Tak’s managing editor Shweta Singh, CM Yogi said that I am a Yogi. My priority is to work for the values and principles of the party, not power.
On the question of the slogan 400 Paar, CM Yogi said, ‘It is not a matter of belief but of happening. This has become the mantra of the country. By making this slogan a part of their lives by every section of the society, every community in the entire country, north, south, east, west, keeping in mind the popularity of Modi ji, the work done by him in 10 years, legacy, development, security, respect, local level development and welfare of the poor, keeping all these in mind, the people are turning this slogan into reality.’
‘Anyway, I am a Yogi…’
He said that when the results will come on June 4, once again we will achieve the Modi government and this target of 400 with the NDA. On the question of the opposition’s claims of removing Yogi Adityanath from the post of CM after the elections, he said, ‘The opposition has no issue now. It is doing the politics of division among themselves. Anyway, they have always divided. First the Congress divided the country, then they divided on the basis of region, language and in this election, they did many types of propaganda by dividing on the basis of caste.’
He said, ‘This is a propaganda of the opposition. Anyway, I am a Yogi and for me, our priority is not power but working for the values and principles of the party, working for the values and ideals for which we have come into politics and public life. Kejriwal ji, you have sacrificed your principles for power. Wherever it comes to principles, we will reject that power not in one life but in 100 lives. Our theory of Nation First, the principle of the party, we will work for the values and principles of the party. We will go to any extent for those values and work with dedication.
80 will become the base, this time we will cross 400
On one hand, BJP’s claim of winning 80 out of 80 seats in UP and on the other hand, Akhilesh Yadav’s taunt that BJP will win only ‘Kyoto’ (Varanasi), on this question, CM Yogi said, ‘Okay, he is accepting that we are winning Kashi. After this they will say Gorakhpur, then they will say Mainpuri, Kannauj, Azamgarh, when all these are in BJP’s share and are part of NDA, then naturally BJP will win 80 out of 80 seats.’
He said that we won Kannauj last time and will win this time too. We won Azamgarh last time and will win this time too. BJP will win in Mainpuri too… 80 will become the base, this time it will cross 400.
