Uttarakhand: Congress gears up for Badrinath and Mangalore assembly by-elections, Karan Mahara will camp

After the Lok Sabha elections in Uttarakhand, by-elections are to be held on two assembly seats. In such a situation, other political parties including BJP and Congress have geared up for the by-elections to be held on these seats. While on one hand BJP has appointed in-charges for Badrinath and Mangalore assembly by-elections, now Congress has also formed a committee while speeding up the preparations for the by-elections.

Uttarakhand Congress State President Karan Mahara says that the Congress party will fight the by-elections of both the assemblies with full strength. He is soon going to camp in Chamoli for three to four days. After that he will go to Mangalore and hold a meeting with the workers regarding the preparations for the by-elections.

He said that the entire focus of the Congress party is to register its victory on the two vacant seats of the assembly. In view of the Mangalore and Badrinath assembly by-elections, PCC i.e. State Congress Committee has formed a committee. The party leaders are working to form booth committees in both the assemblies.

Let us tell you that MLA from Badrinath assembly seat Rajendra Bhandari left Congress and joined BJP before the Lok Sabha elections. After which the Badrinath assembly seat fell vacant from March 17. At the same time, Mangalore seat is also vacant after the death of BSP i.e. Bahujan Samaj Party MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari. In such a situation, Congress has claimed victory in the upcoming elections on both the assembly seats.
