A bag full of lakhs of rupees was found in the famous Moti Sagar pond of Agar Malwa on Wednesday. The municipality has confiscated the bag of rotten notes and handed it over to the police department. Now the police and administration are engaged in investigating the whole matter.
In fact, the digging work was going on in the summer season in Madhya Pradesh’s second largest Moti Sagar pond located in Agar Malwa. In such a situation, when the digging was going on there, the JCB driver saw a bag during the excavation and some papers like notes were seen in it. Seeing this, the JCB driver employee informed the municipality staff.
On receiving the information, some officers and chairman of the municipality reached the spot. When they saw, the bag was filled with a large amount of 500-500 rupee notes. At first glance, the bundles were estimated to be around 5 to 7 lakh rupees.
Municipal president Nilesh Patel said that most of the bundles of notes found during the excavation of the pond have rotted and decayed due to water and soil. At present, the municipality called the police on the spot and handed over the spoiled currency.
