Demand of LT teachers in Uttarakhand fulfilled, service rules amended, SOP will be issued soon

The state government has finally fulfilled the long-standing demand of assistant teachers in the state. The government has amended the service rules of LT teachers and has given instructions to issue SOP soon. After the state government has given relaxation in transfer to assistant teachers, now these teachers will be able to get inter-divisional transfers, while by doing this many teachers of the state will get a chance to get appointed in their desired districts. However, the state government has decided to give assistant teachers a chance to change cadre only once in their entire service period.

Assistant teachers in the state will get a chance to change cadre only when they complete at least 5 years of satisfactory service in their original cadre. Such teachers can get a chance to transfer to another division after completing their 5 years of service. Many such teachers of the state are going to get benefit who were demanding change in their contact for a long time due to various reasons. In view of this, there was also a demand for amendment in the rules from the government for a long time by the teachers.

Considering this years old demand in the state, the government has taken a positive decision on it. However, the SOP is yet to be issued by the state government in this matter. Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that this new rule will now be helpful in changing the division of assistant teachers. After getting posted in another division, the concerned teacher will be considered the most junior in his new cadre. For this, teachers will have to apply in their division itself, after which a decision will be taken on it at the level of Director Secondary Education. However, it will also have to be approved by the committee constituted at the government level.

For transparency in inter-divisional transfer, a five-member committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary Secondary Education at the government level. Apart from Additional Secretary Education, Additional Secretary Personnel, Joint Secretary Secondary Education, Deputy Secretary and Under Secretary Secondary Education will also work as members.
