In Champawat, the Chardham All Weather Road Oversight Committee conducted a field inspection of the Champawat-Pithoragarh-Lohaghat bypass. 1709 trees will be cut for the construction of this bypass.

The Chardham All Weather Road Oversight Committee conducted a field inspection of the proposed bypass from Shaktipurbunga in Champawat. Oversight Committee Chairman Justice (Retd.) A.K. Sikri, Dr. N. Bala and Dr. S.K. Goyal reached Champawat headquarters via helicopter and inspected here. Let us tell you that a bypass is being built in Champawat at a cost of 320 crores, which is proposed between Mudiani and Tilaun.
The Oversight Inspection was Positive
It is being told that this time the Oversight Inspection was positive and the bypass is expected to be built. Earlier, when the High Power Committee had inspected, the previously proposed bypass was not approved due to excessive trees in the bypass. Then, on the instructions of the Supreme Court, an Over Sight Committee was formed under the chairmanship of a retired Supreme Court judge.
1709 trees will be cut for the Char Dham All Weather Road
The Over Sight Committee today inspected the bypass at Shaktipur Bunga in Champawat district headquarters. Let us tell you that 1709 trees of different species are coming in the Champawat bypass. That is, 1709 trees will be cut to build the bypass. In the survey conducted earlier, more than 2,300 trees of different species were coming. Let us tell you that the total length of Champawat bypass is 9.847 kilometers.
