Uttarakhand: A case of rape of a woman complainant was registered against the inspector, SSP suspended him

A yoga trainer from Dehradun had accused the Mayur Vihar outpost in-charge of Raipur police station area of taking her to Nainital on the pretext of investigation and raping her. The outpost in-charge, who was accused of raping the woman, has been suspended by SSP Dehradun.
A case of rape of the complainant woman has been registered against the inspector
The victim had complained about this to DGP Abhinav Kumar, Chief Minister and Chief Secretary regarding the matter. The victim told that her husband lives in Canada. There was a theft in their house in February 2023. The investigation of which was being done by Mayur Vihar outpost in-charge Manoj Bhatt. During this time, the outpost in-charge started coming to her house.
Allegation of threatening to implicate in a false case
He took her to Nainital on the pretext of investigation in the theft case. The inspector forcibly raped the woman in a hotel in Nainital. The woman told that the accused inspector threatened her several times and took her to his flat and forcibly raped her several times by showing a pistol. The inspector is also accused of threatening the woman and her husband to implicate them in a false case.
Suspended by SSP
The victim said that the accused had told her that he was unmarried. Later the woman came to know that the accused was married. According to the victim, the woman had even attempted suicide after getting fed up with the inspector. On the complaint of the victim, SSP Dehradun has suspended the outpost in-charge by registering a case of rape against him.
