Uttarakhand: Leopard terror in Ramnagar, attacked a woman cutting grass, undergoing treatment in hospital

In Ramnagar, a leopard attacked a woman who was cutting grass in the garden near her house. As soon as the attack took place, the women around started making noise. Hearing the noise, the leopard ran away from there. The woman was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. As soon as the information was received, the forest department team reached the spot.

The incident happened on Friday morning. According to the information, Prabha Devi (52) wife of Surendra Kumar, a resident of Kalusiddh in Ramnagar Range of Ramnagar Terai Western Forest Department, had gone to cut grass in the garden near her house. Meanwhile, a leopard lying in wait attacked the woman. As soon as the attack took place, the women around started making noise. After which the leopard fled from the spot.

An atmosphere of panic among the villagers
The injured woman was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. On receiving the information about the incident, the forest department team also reached the spot. Ramnagar Ranger JP Dimri, who reached the spot regarding the matter, said that a cage is being installed in the area to catch the leopard. Along with this, patrolling has been started. There is an atmosphere of panic among the villagers after the incident.
