Uttarakhand: Services of 65 teachers who got jobs on the basis of fake certificates terminated, now certificates of 24% other teachers will be investigated

Many teachers in the country are teaching children by getting appointed in government and non-government schools on the basis of invalid and fake certificates. After the Fake Degree Real Job campaign launched against these teachers, the government ordered SIT to investigate.

After the investigation, the services of 65 teachers have been terminated so far. At the same time, the certificates of 7 other teachers have been found to be fake, but no action has been taken against any of the officers accused of irregularities in recruitment and those who appointed such teachers.

According to Director of Primary Education, Ramkrishna Uniyal, the services of 62 teachers of primary and junior high schools whose certificates were found to be fake in the investigation have been terminated. 13 teachers have gone to the High Court against the termination of service. While the process of termination of service of 7 other teachers is going on.

A teacher from Udham Singh Nagar has been suspended

The SIT and the department have found the certificates of these teachers to be fake in the investigation. Apart from this, the services of three teachers have been terminated in secondary education. In this, one teacher is from Pauri Garhwal and two teachers are from Rudraprayag district. One teacher from Udham Singh Nagar has been suspended. Against whom investigation is going on.

Investigation is going on against 122 teachers, 10 clerks and one principal in Haridwar district on the complaint of fraud. Director of Primary Education, Ramkrishna Uniyal, says that the certificates of 76 percent teachers in primary education have been checked. Certificates of 24 percent teachers are yet to be checked.

Many cases of irregularities have come up but no action has been taken

Many cases of irregularities in the recruitment of teachers have come up in the state. There are many such cases in non-government schools. Complaints of irregularities in LT recruitment have also come up on the Subordinate Services Selection Commission. Earlier, questions were also raised on SCERT regarding recruitment. Even after this, no action has been taken against any responsible officer in the case so far.

Certificates of all secondary teachers were not checked

After the case of fraud in teacher recruitment came to light, the then Education Minister Arvind Pandey had given instructions to check the certificates of all teachers teaching children from class 1 to 12, but even after the minister’s instructions, the certificates of all secondary teachers were not checked in the department.

Investigation is done on the complaint of irregularities in teacher recruitment. If the case is found to be true, the service of the concerned teacher is terminated.
