Uttarakhand: Traffic resumed on Gangotri Highway, one person died due to rock fall, the injured were airlifted to a higher center
Traffic has been restored near Dabrani on Gangotri Highway. A rock fell on the highway in the afternoon. One person died due to the accident. While five people were injured. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Movement resumed on Gangotri Highway
After the accident, traffic was stopped at a safe place on both sides of the highway. But now movement has been resumed on Gangotri Highway. For smooth and safe traffic system, vehicles coming from Gangotri to Uttarkashi are being released first.
One person died due to rock fall
On Friday afternoon, many vehicles were hit by a rock falling near Dabrani. On receiving the information, police, SDRF, NDRF teams immediately reached the spot. The rescue team rescued five injured and took them to Harshil for treatment. The injured include two men and two women including a girl. One person has died in the accident.
The injured were airlifted and sent to a higher centre
The seriously injured in the accident have been sent to Rishikesh AIMS. Uttarkashi District Magistrate Dr. Meherban Singh Bisht informed that three people injured in separate accidents near Dabrani and Silkarya have been airlifted and sent to a higher centre on the advice of doctors for better treatment.
