Uttar Pradesh: FIR on indecent comment on social media: Former MLC and SP posted, SI filed a report after taking screenshot

The former MLC and SP leader had to pay a heavy price for making indecent comments on the vote counting from his Facebook account. The police took the matter seriously and registered a case under various sections.

The former MLC wrote in a post on his social media account, “Do not allow any dishonesty in the vote counting, blood will be shed, the officer is famous for dishonesty”, apart from this, an attempt was made to provoke people by alleging dishonesty in the vote counting through the post.

Sub-inspector Rajesh Kumar posted in Sadar Bazar has taken the screenshot of the post and registered an FIR against Amit Yadav under several sections. Amit Yadav is the brother of former MLA Rajesh Yadav from SP.

In the post on the Facebook account, indecent language was also used while mentioning the public representatives and the DM.

The vote counting is to be held on June 4, in view of this, the police is constantly monitoring criminal and anti-social elements through social media. On May 30, a post was made on social media from Amit Yadav’s social media account using abusive language while referring to the DM and public representatives. Do not do any dishonesty in the counting of votes, blood will be shed, officers are famous for dishonesty, apart from this, indecent comments were also made. The police have also included screenshots of the indecent comments issued along with the FIR, which were later removed from Facebook. It is clear from the released post that a person named Amit Yadav was incited to disrupt peace and order by violating the Model Code of Conduct and Section 144. The police have registered an FIR. However, the post was later removed from the Facebook account. In this case, when an attempt was made to talk to former MLC Amit Yadav over the phone to know his side, his phone was not received. Former MLC’s brother, former MLA Rajesh Yadav said that he is not aware of the FIR. If an FIR has been registered, it will be looked into. Sadar police station in-charge Ravindra Singh said that an FIR has been registered for making indecent comments.
