Valley of flowers is open for nature lovers, travellers will be able to see more than 500 species of colourful flowers

The world famous Valley of Flowers located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand has opened for tourists. Valley of Flowers is rich in rare Himalayan flora and is a unique treasure of biodiversity. Here tourists will be able to order more than 500 species of colorful flowers.
Valley of Flowers opened for nature lovers
Every year Valley of Flowers is opened for tourists on June 1. Tourists were started being sent to the valley from 8 am. DFO of Nanda Devi National Park BB Martolia also reached Ghangaria, the main stop of the journey in the morning. Let us tell you that there is a three kilometer track from here to Valley of Flowers.
The valley will remain open for tourists till October 30
One can also see the panoramic views of Tipra Glacier, Rataban Peak, Gauri and Nilgiri Mountains from Valley of Flowers. Let us tell you that Valley of Flowers will remain open for tourists till October 30. There is no arrangement for night stay here. Due to which tourists will have to return to base camp Ghangaria on the same day after trekking to Valley of Flowers.
This is the rate fixed
For trekking to Valley of Flowers, eco track fee has been fixed at Rs 200 for Indian citizens and Rs 800 for foreign citizens. There will also be a tourist guide facility from base camp Ghangaria for Valley of Flowers.
How to reach Valley of Flowers?
- If you want to go to Valley of Flowers, then you have to understand one thing beforehand that you will have to trek on foot. No vehicle can take you to Valley of Flowers. You will have to leave that vehicle beforehand. Now let us tell you how to reach Valley of Flowers?
- To reach Valley of Flowers, you will find the nearest airport in Dehradun. You reach Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun and then book a taxi from here to Govindghat.
- This distance is about 300 km and is a hilly path. So this journey will take you more time than the plains. After reaching Govind Ghat, you will have to go to Ghangaria on foot.
- Here you will have to get a pass for the Valley of Flowers. After this you will have to trek to the Valley of Flowers.
- To reach the Valley of Flowers from Govind Ghat, you will have to trek about 19 km.
- If you want to come by train, then the nearest railway station is Rishikesh. From here you will have to cover a distance of about 250 km by taxi and reach Govind Ghat.
- You can book a helicopter from Dehradun to Ghangaria. But you will have to cover the rest of the journey on foot.
