Uttarakhand: If the public is troubled by electricity and water problems, the officers will be held responsible, strict action will be taken if negligence is shown
Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Banbasa on a one-day tour program in Champawat. In the NHPC auditorium of Banbasa, he reviewed electricity, drinking water, forest department, public works department and irrigation department etc. The Chief Minister, being strict on the negligence and indifference of the departmental officers, reprimanded the officers.
If the public is troubled, the officers will be responsible
CM Dhami reprimanded the officers and said that everyone should improve their working style. Along with this, he warned the officers who are negligent in the field of energy and drinking water and said that if the public is troubled by electricity and water, the officers themselves will be responsible. He instructed to keep all the arrangements in order in Purnagiri and also said that the devotees coming to Maa Purnagiri should not face any problem of electricity and water.
Plans should be prepared as per the demand of electricity
CM Dhami said that in view of the future, the supply plans should be prepared as per the demand of necessary electricity from now onwards. He prepared a proposal by meeting UPCL, Pitkul and UREDA and instructed to expedite the construction of new power houses. He directed District Magistrate Navneet Pandey to ensure that every construction work in the district has full quality, timeliness and transparency. For this, he should personally inspect and review the work.
Old power lines should be replaced within a month
The Chief Minister said that whatever projects are pending due to forest land transfer, the officers should work with personal responsibility while resolving them immediately. For government level problems, the officers should come to Dehradun and meet the concerned department and themselves to resolve the problem, so that the problem can be resolved soon. Along with this, he asked to replace the old power lines and transformers in Tanakpur Banbasa area within a month and prepare a proposal to make the LT line underground and also build new terminals.

The Chief Minister directed the Chief Engineer in the Public Works Department to prepare a proposal to construct bypasses in small cities and towns of the state where there is a traffic jam. The officers should take it seriously so that there is a permanent solution to any problem. The officers should take the work personally and get it approved at their own level, do not keep them pending unnecessarily. He said that our resolution is corruption free Uttarakhand.
Along with this, he instructed the District Magistrate to prepare a better work plan for the construction of Sharda Corridor to be built for Purnagiri Mela area and Sharda Ghat. He said that while selecting the land for whatever plans are made for the future, special attention should be paid to ensure that the public gets its full utility.
