A newly married woman who went to extinguish the fire got seriously injured after coming in contact with the fire. It is being told that the newly married woman has suffered 80 percent burns.

On Sunday evening, at around four o’clock in the evening, the forest fire in Godan village on the Chaka road of Devprayag reached the houses. Newly married Pooja (21) went to extinguish the fire and she was extinguishing the fire spread in the field adjacent to her house. During this, she got caught in it. Hearing the screams of the woman, her mother-in-law and father-in-law reached there. But by the time they reached, the woman had got severely burnt.
