Odisha is in a bad state due to severe heat, 99 people died of sunstroke in the last 72 hours

The situation is also bad in Odisha due to the scorching heat. The heat there is becoming fatal for the people. During the last 72 hours, 99 people have reportedly died of sunstroke.
Out of 99 deaths in Odisha, 20 cases have been confirmed by the District Magistrates. The Special Relief Commissioner of Odisha told in a media report that a total of 141 cases of deaths due to sunstroke have been registered by the District Magistrates during this scorching heat, out of which 26 people have died due to heatstroke. A constable posted on election duty in Aurangabad, Bihar died of heatstroke.
Heat wave will continue in 12 states
According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave conditions are likely to continue in 12 states of North-West, Central and East India including Punjab, Haryana. There will be no relief from the heat wave during the next three days. After that, it will gradually decrease. During the next three days, the maximum temperature in North India may increase by two to three degrees.
