Lebanese security official said that there were four attackers, one of them brought the rest of the attackers to the spot. He said that one attacker died, the second escaped from the spot, the third was injured and the fourth was taken into custody.
The US Embassy reacted after this attack. They said that no one was injured in this attack. Lebanon’s acting Prime Minister Najib Mikati said in a statement that he was informed about the situation after a meeting with the Defense Minister and Army Commander. At present, the situation is stable and the matter is under investigation. The Lebanese Army said that military personnel have been deployed outside the embassy after the attack.
