Kerala’s only BJP MP Suresh wants to leave the ministerial post, told this reason

Suresh Gopi, the first BJP MP from Kerala, who was sworn in as Union Minister of State on Sunday, is likely to quit his ministerial post. Speaking to a regional channel in Delhi after the swearing-in ceremony, he said that he has not asked for the ministerial post and he hopes that he will be relieved from the post soon.

In fact, giving the reason for leaving his ministerial post, he said that I have signed films and I have to do them. Suresh Gopi said, ‘I will work as an MP from Thrissur.’ Suresh Gopi won from the Thrissur parliamentary constituency and made his name in history as the first BJP MP from Kerala. Suresh defeated Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate VS Sunilkumar by 74686 votes.

Has been a Rajya Sabha MP

The Thrissur seat from which Suresh Gopi has won went to the account of Congress in the last election. Suresh Gopi has also been a Rajya Sabha MP before being elected as a Lok Sabha MP. He was nominated to the Rajya Sabha in 2016. His tenure in Rajya Sabha was till 2022.

Has played an important role in films

Suresh Gopi is originally from Alappuzha, Kerala. He was born in 1958. He took a degree in Science subject from Kollam and did Masters in English. Suresh is also associated with films. He started working in films as a child artist and then worked in many films. Suresh Gopi has also played the lead role in many films. He has received the National Award for Best Actor for the 1998 film Kaliyattam. Apart from this, he has also been hosting TV shows for a long time.
