Efforts to call Delhi officials to the center, NDMC chairperson Amit Yadav transferred to the central ministry
The NDA government, which has come to power for the third time at the center, has started the process of calling senior IAS officers in central ministries. The latest case is of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Chairperson Amit Yadav, who has been transferred to the post of Secretary in the Union Department of Social Justice and Empowerment.
After the orders of the Home Ministry, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has asked Amit Yadav to relieve him from the post of NDMC Chairperson and take charge in the new ministry. Amit Yadav has also previously been Additional Secretary of the Commerce Department in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Isha Khosla also transferred
Apart from this, New Delhi District Deputy Commissioner Isha Khosla has been transferred to the post of Special Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. After this change, the DC of South East District will currently handle the additional charge of Deputy Commissioner of New Delhi District until a new appointment is made.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner also transferred
Other Deputy Commissioners related to this change have been given additional charge until a new appointment is made. The recent transfers are pointing towards a significant change in the power structure of Delhi. Along with this, Delhi Municipal Corporation Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti has also been transferred. The election code of conduct is now over, so he can join his new posting anytime.
