From Himachal to Uttarakhand, hilly states are also facing ‘fire’, heatwave in Dehradun, temperature crossed 44 degrees in Hamirpur

In the northern states, states like Bihar, UP, Delhi, Rajasthan are experiencing severe heat, but the hilly states are also not untouched by it. Be it Jammu and Kashmir or Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand… many of their areas are battling severe heat. The situation is such that the temperature in many areas has reached close to 45 degrees and heatwave is going on.
Heatwave in many districts of Himachal Pradesh
These days the weather in Himachal is such that people are facing scorching heat at some places and snowfall is also happening at other places. Heatwave alert has also been issued in many districts of Himachal. In this hilly state too, one will have to wait for a few days for relief from the heat. An increase of one degree has been recorded in the temperature of many areas of Himachal Pradesh, after which there is a possibility of heatwave in the state. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), an alert has been issued for 48 hours regarding heatwave in Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, Mandi, Solan and Sirmaur from Wednesday i.e. today.
Temperature of four cities crossed 40 degrees
In Himachal Pradesh, the temperature of four cities crossed 40 degrees and 10 cities recorded more than 35 degrees. Neri of Hamirpur district was the hottest place in the state with a temperature of 44.8 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Una was 42.8 degrees, 42.6 degrees Celsius in Dhaula Kuan, 40.8 degrees in Hamirpur and 40 degrees Celsius in Sundarnagar. At the same time, the temperature in Solan reached 35 degrees, Kangra 39.02 degrees, Mandi 37.8 degrees and Chamba 36.5 degrees.
Relief will be available next week!
The temperature in most of the cities of the state is 5 degrees more than normal and the temperature is likely to increase further in the coming 6 days, but after that the arrival of pre-monsoon has been predicted, which is expected to provide relief from the heat. However, snowfall is also being seen in Kullu. Rohtang Pass is seen covered with a white sheet of snow.
Heatwave in Jammu and mercury reaches 43 degrees
The heat wave has returned to Jammu and Kashmir as well. The Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature in Jammu city has reached 43 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees above normal. Let us tell you that last month also most parts of this place were in the grip of heat wave. Now once again heat wave has returned. IMD has predicted the return of heat wave from June 11 to June 17 with dry weather.
Talking about Srinagar, here too the temperature is going above 30 which is hot weather for hill states. According to the Meteorological Department, these days the condition of cloud cover in the state will decrease and the temperature will increase. There is no hope of relief in the weather of Srinagar till June 17. However, in areas like Gulmarg and Pahalgam, the temperature is running at 25 degrees and around it.
Heat wave in Uttarakhand too, fear of forest fire
The weather office has said that some parts of Uttarakhand will also be affected by the latest round of heat wave. Let us tell you that due to the heatwave in May, the highest temperature ever was recorded at many places across the country including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh hills. According to the Meteorological Department, heat wave is likely in some places on June 12 and 13, while heat wave conditions will prevail in the plains of Uttarakhand on June 14 and 15. Higher than normal temperatures and dry weather conditions prevail in the state, due to which incidents of forest fires can be seen at different places in Pauri, Dehradun and Tehri districts. At the same time, due to heat wave and rising temperatures, the crops of the state can also be affected.
