Uttarakhand: Bus carrying Chardham pilgrims met with an accident on Gangotri Highway, fell into a ditch and got stuck to a tree, three died

On Tuesday late night, a bus of pilgrims fell into a deep gorge near Ganganani on Gangotri Highway and got stuck to a tree. According to the information received, the accident happened on Tuesday night around 9:15 pm. The bus was returning to Uttarkashi with devotees from Gangotri Dham. On getting information about the accident, the police reached the spot and started the rescue.
Three women died in the accident
Rescue teams pulled out all the devotees after several hours of hard work. Three women died in the accident. According to the police, Deepa (55), resident of Halduchaud, Haldwani, died on the spot in the accident. While the other two injured women were taken to the hospital. Where they died during treatment. While the condition of five people is said to be critical. There were a total of 29 passengers in the bus.
Five injured were referred to AIIMS
According to the information received, driver Vijay Kumar, Ramesh Chandra Tiwari, his wife Geeta, Deepa Pangati and Liladhar Pandey are seriously injured. They have been referred to AIIMS Rishikesh.
