Ganesh Godiyal said that I am thankful to the people of all the five Lok Sabhas of the state other than Garhwal Lok Sabha for supporting us. We had some shortcomings, which we will fulfill. Talking about the figures, this time we have reduced the gap in Garhwal Lok Sabha compared to 2019. That too in a situation when BJP intimidated MLAs and leaders and made them join its party on the basis of its power. Some old Congress leaders have also secretly helped BJP. Despite this, I feel that I have won.

We were fighting the elections on the issue of injustice done to our daughters. The issue of daughters can become an issue in Haryana, BJP can lose five seats. We have to think at our level that the injustice done to Uttarakhand’s daughter Ankita could not become an issue. Where did we go wrong, that people did not pay attention to this issue. If Agnipath Yojana can become an issue in Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, then why could it not become an issue in Uttarakhand, this is a matter of contemplation for us and the voters.
