In Uttarakhand, severe heat continues to wreak havoc from the plains to the mountains. The scorching heat is making people sweat. Due to which people are forced to sit in their homes in the afternoon. The 11-year record of June heat in the capital Dehradun has been broken.

Hot winds are troubling people in the second week of June. The scorching heat is making people restless during the day as well as at night. On Tuesday, the highest mercury in 11 years in the capital Doon was 41.8 degrees Celsius, which is seven degrees more than normal. The heatwaves troubled people throughout the day.

Mercury expected to reach 43 degrees in Dehradun

According to meteorologists, an alert has been issued that the temperature of Dehradun will reach 43 degrees Celsius on June 12. Between the years 2013 to 2023, the temperature was recorded at 41.6 degrees in 2022. This record was broken last Tuesday. The all-time record of highest mercury level in Doon was 43.9 degree Celsius on June 4, 1902.
