Uttarakhand: The limit on offline registration for Chardham Yatra has been removed, discussions will be held with stakeholders to form a travel authority

The Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra is going on in full swing. The current situation is that about 50 to 55 thousand devotees are reaching the Dhams daily for darshan. So far 20,18,281 devotees have visited all the four Dhams. On the other hand, the number of deaths in the Dhams is also increasing continuously. So far 109 devotees have died. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high-level review meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday regarding the arrangements for the Chardham Yatra.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, in a meeting called regarding the arrangements for the Chardham Yatra, directed the officials to make the arrangements related to the Chardham Yatra even better. Also work in coordination with the District Magistrates. The CM said that the high officials should do on-site inspection of the travel arrangements from time to time as well as help the District Magistrates for better arrangements in the journey. So that the devotees coming on the Chardham Yatra do not face any kind of problem. Pilgrims should go to their destination from Uttarakhand with a pleasant message.
Apart from this, CM Dhami instructed the officials to determine the duties and responsibilities for creating a travel authority. For this, hold a meeting with the local administration, temples, transporters, tour agents and other concerned parties and also discuss. The CM said that arrangements should be made to operate 42-seater buses on the travel routes. At the same time, during the meeting, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said that the backlog of devotees in Rishikesh and Haridwar for the Chardham Yatra has ended. In such a situation, all the devotees who are coming to the Dhams are being registered and sent to the Chardham Yatra. At present, the number of registrations is no longer limited.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the MoUs signed during the Investor Summit should be worked on at a fast pace to bring them to the ground. Also, such investment proposals should be given first priority, which are in line with the conditions of the state and can provide employment to the local people. The CM said that instructions should be given to expedite the construction work by holding a meeting with the agencies constructing tunnels in the state under Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line, Tanakpur-Bageshwar rail line and Delhi-Dehradun elevated road.
