Chief Secretary got angry at the slow pace of the project in Uttarakhand, gave 24 hours deadline to 6 departments

In Uttarakhand, guidelines have been issued to prepare the project on time and complete the entire process within the stipulated time. Despite this, the blueprint of the schemes is neither being prepared on time by various departments nor is the process being completed on time. Perhaps this is the reason that Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, in view of these situations during the review meeting, has instructed all the departments to send the projects on time. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has given a 24-hour deadline to the Public Works Department, Irrigation, Animal Husbandry, School Education, Skill Development and Technical Education Department and has instructed them to send the remaining projects worth Rs 383 crore to NABARD as soon as possible.
Radha Raturi has also set a deadline of July 31 and asked the departments to send the DPR to the Finance Department. Not only this, strict instructions have also been given to send all the projects to NABARD on time in future. The Chief Secretary has clarified that only those projects should be sent to NABARD which are of high quality. Apart from this, the priority of the project has also been asked to be decided by the departments. Along with this, instructions have also been given to pay special attention to not duplicating funding during this period.
The Chief Secretary has set a target for the departments to send projects up to 50% by June 30, projects up to 60% by July 31 and projects up to 100% by August 15 to the Finance Department. Projects worth Rs 360 crore have been given by the Finance Department. In this, there are 10 projects of 77 crores of the Irrigation Department. 89 projects of 193 crores have been given by the Public Works Department. There are four projects worth 66 crores in technical education. There is one project of 10 crores from the Animal Husbandry Department. There are five projects worth 13.48 crores in the Rural Construction Department. In the year 2023-24, the total payment by NABARD to the state has been 954 crores against 904 crores. For the year 2024-25, an approved target of Rs 1200 crore and a reimbursement target of Rs 969 crore has been set under RIDF (Rural Infrastructure Development Fund).
