Hamas spokesperson said – 120 Israeli hostages, don’t know how many are alive; deal to save them is possible only on ceasefire and withdrawal of Israeli army

Amid the Israel-Hamas war, Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan said on Thursday (June 13) that no one knows how many of the 120 Israeli hostages are still alive. During an interview with American news channel CNN, he said that if there is any deal to release the hostages, it will include a ceasefire guarantee and complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.

In fact, on 7 October 2023, Hamas entered Israel and killed 1200 people and took 234 hostage. A few hours later, the Israeli army attacked Gaza. The war has been going on since then. Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar is believed to be the mastermind of the attacks on Israel.

Osama Hamda said that for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the Israeli army will have to end the siege of the Palestinians. He also said that it can be taken forward with regard to the deal of exchange of prisoners.

Medical report of rescued hostages rejected

Osama also rejected the medical report of the 4 hostages rescued by the Israeli army from Hamas captivity on Saturday, which came on Wednesday, in which Dr. Pesach had said that the test report revealed that their weight had reduced a lot and their muscles had also become weak. Dr. Pesach had said that their condition was due to bad food, prison torture and lack of sunlight.

Dr. Pesach had said that its effect will not end soon. The biggest impact will be mental. Andrey Kozlov is still scared. He does not want to talk to many people now.

In fact, one of the rescued hostages, Andrey Kozlov, had narrated his ordeal on Wednesday. He had told that Hamas fighters used to tell him daily that the world has left him to die.

According to the American newspaper The New York Times, to break Kozlov’s morale, the fighters told him daily that even his family members had left him to die. He said that your mother has now forgotten everything and is holidaying in Greece. Now your mother does not know you and neither does she want to remember you.

‘Sinwar did not say the death of Palestinians is necessary for us’

Hamas spokesperson Osama Hamdan also rejected those media reports, which said that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar had described the deaths in Gaza as a necessary sacrifice for the freedom of Palestine. Earlier, a report in the American newspaper Wall Street Journal said that Sinwar had told Hamas fighters and officials in contact with mediators for ceasefire that he did not want this war to stop.

Sinwar believes that the more civilians die in the war, the more Hamas will benefit. According to the report, on the death of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh’s three sons and four grandsons in the airstrike, Sinwar had said, “This sacrifice of the people will give Palestine a new life. This will lead the country towards development and respect.”
