Uttarakhand forest fire death case: Families will get financial help of Rs 10 lakh each, four people died
The havoc of forest fire was seen in Almora district of Uttarakhand on Thursday, May 13. Four employees of the forest department died due to forest fire here. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over this incident. At the same time, CM Pushkar Dhami has also announced financial assistance of ten lakh rupees each to the families of the deceased.
Four employees were also badly burnt in this forest fire, who were immediately airlifted from Haridwar and admitted to Base Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this incident is very heart-wrenching. In this hour of grief, the entire Uttarakhand government stands with the families of the forest workers.
The CM said that instructions have been given to the officials to immediately airlift the four forest workers who were injured in this accident to Haldwani Base Hospital. Chief Minister Dhami also directed to airlift the seriously injured from Haldwani to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment as per requirement. Along with this, Chief Minister Dhami has given instructions to give an ex-gratia amount of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s Special Secretary Parag Madhukar Dhakate said that the government is keeping a close watch on the incident. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister, the injured personnel are being airlifted to Haldwani Hospital. At the same time, the post-mortem of the deceased is being done today itself.
Let us tell you that this accident happened at around 3.30 pm on Thursday afternoon in Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary of Almora district. According to the information, there was a fire in the Civil Soyam Forest Division of Almora. As soon as the information about the matter was received, 8 forest workers left for the spot in a Bolero. 4 forest workers riding in a Bolero vehicle died due to scorching in the forest fire and four other forest workers were seriously burnt.
