Uttarakhand: Anger among the priests of Gangotri pilgrimage, expressed objection to this decision of CM Dhami, wrote a letter to PM Modi

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had given instructions to prepare for opening a new route from Ramnagar for the Char Dham Yatra. Due to which there is resentment among the pilgrimage priests of Gangotri. The pilgrimage priests have written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed their objection to the decision of CM Dhami.

The pilgrimage priests of Gangotri wrote a letter to PM Modi saying that it has come to know through newspapers that the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand is considering replacing the Char Dham Yatra from Rishikesh, Haridwar and conducting the Yatra from Ramnagar, which is against tradition and faith.
If the government tampers with the traditional journey and religious dignity, then all the people associated with the religious tourism of Char Dham will strongly oppose it. The pilgrimage priests requested PM Modi and said that CM Dhami should cancel the Char Dham Yatra from Ramnagar and let the Char Dham Yatra run smoothly as per tradition as before.

Let us tell you that in the Char Dham Yatra running from Rishikesh and Haridwar, it was seen in the past that the roads were jammed due to heavy crowd. After which CM Dhami had issued orders to the officials to prepare Ramnagar as an alternative. On the instructions of CM Dhami, the higher officials have prepared the report. However, the next decision has to be taken by the government.
