Uttarakhand: Disaster Management Department’s Vice President Vinay Ruhela held a meeting of officers and said – there should be mutual coordination between the departments regarding monsoon
In view of the upcoming monsoon season, nodal officers of various departments have been deployed in the control room (State Emergency Operations Center) in the new building of Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority (USDMA) located in IT Park.
On Saturday, Vinay Ruhela, Vice President of State Advisory Committee, Disaster Management Department, held a meeting with the nodal officers of USDMA and various departments regarding the upcoming monsoon season. He took information from all the nodal officers regarding the preparations for the monsoon at the departmental level and gave necessary guidelines. He said that the government’s goal is to minimize the loss of life and property due to disaster, keeping this in mind, all the line departments should work in mutual coordination and harmony. He said that the most important thing in disaster management is how quickly relief and rescue operations are being carried out.
He said that the new building of USDMA has used the latest technology based on world-class standards. He said that Uttarakhand is very sensitive in terms of disaster and now the monsoon is also going to knock soon. In such a situation, the control room operating from the new building of USDMA will prove to be a milestone in conducting disaster management, mitigation and relief and rescue operations. He expressed hope that this control room will make an important contribution towards achieving the goals of disaster safe Uttarakhand by working 24×7.
On this occasion, Additional Chief Executive Officer (Administration), Anand Swaroop, Additional Chief Executive Officer (Operations) Raj Kumar Negi, Joint Chief Executive Officer Mohd. Obaidullah Ansari, Joint Secretary Pradeep Kumar Joshi, Executive Director Dr. Piyush Rautela, Rahul Jugran, USDMA experts Devidutt Dalakoti, Manish Bhagat, Dr. Pooja Rana, Rohit Kumar, Hemant Bisht, Jessica Teron as well as nodal officers of various departments were present.
Chief Minister will soon inaugurate the new building
Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will soon inaugurate the new building of Uttarakhand State Disaster Management Authority. Vinay Ruhela, Vice President of State Advisory Committee, Disaster Management Department, took stock of the necessary preparations related to the inauguration. He inspected various rooms and gave necessary guidelines to the USDMA officials.

Dehradun. Vinay Ruhela, Vice President of State Advisory Committee, Disaster Management Department said that monsoon can arrive anytime, so he himself will visit various districts and take stock of various works related to disaster management. He said that what is the status of last year’s disaster management related works and which works are left to be done and the problems being faced in execution of works will also be resolved.
