National President of Indian Kisan Union and former State Minister of Uttarakhand Ramkumar Walia said that first of all we extend our best wishes to the glorious Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi Ji on becoming the Minister of India for the third time on behalf of Indian Kisan Union and we are confident that now the development of the farmers of India and the solution of their problems will be done by the Hon’ble Prime Minister only. As soon as he took charge, his first work was to approve the file of Kisan Nidhi which also highlights his love for the farmers. Walia was speaking while presiding over the program in the National Convention of Indian Kisan Union in Jwalapur Haridwar today. He said that Indian Kisan Union is a national level farmer organization / trust for the upliftment and development of the farmers of India and to make them aware. The main work of this organization is to unite the farmers of India, to provide protection to the farmer organizations, to give them information about the beneficial schemes of the Government of India and the State Governments and to make them avail the benefits of it, to give information about the new techniques of agriculture to the farmers, to give information about organic farming to the farmers to promote organic farming and to help them in selling the products of the farmers etc.

Today Indian Kisan Union has more than one lakh members in the whole country. Our aim is to make five lakh members of the organization every year. He said that today the Indian Kisan Union is moving towards becoming a very big farmer organization in the country. People are taking membership of Indian Kisan Union in large numbers. He said that every member of Indian Kisan Union is a member of our family and we have the responsibility of his future and also the responsibility of taking him forward.

He said that the BJP government is our own government. The people of Indian Kisan Union should also get a share in all the government posts formed in this government. Indian Kisan Union will try for this. He said that our request is that the people of Indian Kisan Union have played an important role in forming the BJP government in the whole country and have voted for the BJP candidates and made them win. The reward for this will also be given to the members of the union soon. He said that we have met the new Agriculture Minister of the Government of India, Shiv Raj Chauhan ji, Finance Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sita Raman ji and wished them and went to their house and drank tea with them. Now the day is not far when the people of Indian Kisan Union will go to the house of the Honorable Prime Minister and wish him and drink his tea.

Walia said that the farmers of India have faith in us. We will solve each and every problem but we should also be cautious of such people who mislead the farmers of India and insult the Prime Minister of India and work to shine their leadership

The meeting was jointly conducted by the State President of Indian Kisan Union Chaudhary Magan Singh and State General Secretary Manoj Chauhan. Addressing the meeting, former President of Uttarakhand Silk Federation and former State Minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh said that the work that the Indian Kisan Union has taken upon itself to give information about the welfare schemes of the Central and State Government to the people is a very commendable work. I have also seen for the last several years that the Indian Kisan Union and its President Ramkumar Walia are truly working to uplift the farmers and make them aware, which is a commendable step. Former MLA and State Vice President of BJP Desh Raj Karanwal said that the Prime Minister is definitely working to do the development work of the farmers on a priority basis, this is a commendable work.

The organizer of the program, State President of Indian Kisan Union, Uttarakhand Chaudhary Magan Singh, congratulated all the State Presidents of Indian Kisan Union from outside and others. The delegates were welcomed and everyone was presented with the organization’s memento, patka cap and plough. Apart from them, Indian Kisan Union’s Uttar Pradesh in-charge Rajkumar Rawal, Rohit Rawal, State Secretary Vinod Rana, Punjab’s State in-charge Sardar Devendra Singh, West Bengal State President Bose, Maharashtra State President Rajendra Kate Khaye, Delhi State President Dr. Veer Pal Singh, Telangana State President Thadem Jai Kumar, National Secretary Maddi Sethi, etc. expressed their views. On this occasion, the following resolutions were also passed unanimously.

  1. Indian Kisan Union wishes the glorious Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi Ji heartily on becoming the Prime Minister of the country again and also expresses its gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister for the approval given by him to the Kisan Nidhi file after becoming the Prime Minister.
  2. Indian Kisan Union will soon launch a membership campaign and will enroll 5 lakh members this year.
  3. Indian Kisan Union will organize conferences in every state of India in which farmers and its members will be informed about the new techniques of farming and they will also be informed about the beneficial schemes of the Government of India and the Central Government.
  4. Indian Kisan Union demands from the Government of India that for the upliftment of farmers and solution of their problems,
  5. National Farmers Development Authority should be formed under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India in which farmer representatives should also be given representation.
  6. GST should be completely removed from agricultural equipment and fertilizer bags.
  7. Inactive office bearers of Indian Kisan Union will be relieved from their posts immediately and an ID card will be made for active members, the full details of which will be made available on the website of Indian Kisan Union.
