Encounter between security forces and terrorists continues in Bandipora, one terrorist killed

An encounter with terrorists is going on since midnight on Sunday in Bandipora district of North Kashmir. Two to three terrorists are suspected to be surrounded. According to sources, one of these terrorists has been killed during the encounter. Official confirmation is yet to be made.

According to the police, on receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Argam of the district, the soldiers of 3 Para, 13 National Rifles and Bandipora Police cordoned off the village and started a search operation.

During this, seeing the cordon getting tight, the hidden terrorists started firing. The encounter started due to retaliation. Senior officers of the security forces have reached the spot. The entire area has been cordoned off so that the terrorists cannot escape by taking advantage of the darkness.
