Uttarakhand: CM Dhami expressed grief over the West Bengal rail accident, wished for the health of the injured

A major rail accident took place near Rangapani station in West Bengal on Monday. A freight train and the Sealdah-bound Kanchenjunga Express collided heavily. Three bogies at the rear of the train were badly damaged in the accident. 8 people have died in the accident. While 30 people are injured. CM Dhami has expressed grief over the accident.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the accident in West Bengal. CM Dhami posted on social media and wrote that ‘Received very sad news of a train accident in New Jalpaiguri, West Bengal. I pray to God to give place to the souls of the departed in his feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this immense grief. I pray to Baba Kedar for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Congress demands resignation from Railway Minister
Congress has demanded resignation from Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav over the train accident. Kerala Congress’s X handle has posted pictures of the incident and demanded resignation saying- The country knows that the reel minister Ashwini Vaishnav will neither resign nor respond to the call for accountability. While NDA’s key partner Nitish Kumar had resigned due to a train accident, Vaishnav was rewarded for a record number of accidents during his previous tenure.
