Uttarakhand: Forest department refused to accept minor as employee, controversy over age is not stopping

Four forest workers were killed in a forest fire incident in Binsar, Almora on June 13. The mystery of the minor fire watcher is still not being solved. The Forest Department is still not ready to accept the minor as its employee. Even after the Cabinet Minister met the affected families, no solution has been found in the matter.

Forest Department refuses to accept the minor as its employee

The Forest Department is still refusing to accept the deceased Karan Arya (17) as its employee. Almora DFO Hem Chandra Gahtori says that the deceased minor is not a fire watcher in his documents. He does not have any document related to the appointment of the minor as a fire watcher. However, the department says that the deceased’s father will be given employment.

Cabinet Minister meets the deceased’s family

On Monday, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya had come to meet the deceased’s family. During this, the deceased’s family had placed this matter before the Cabinet Minister. Even after which no solution has been found in the matter. The forest department says that the relatives of the deceased will be given employment. But the forest department does not have a clear answer as to what kind of employment this will be.
