Uttarakhand: Traffic will be restricted from 8 pm to 10 am, these people will get exemption, read the new SOP
In view of the upcoming monsoon season, traffic has been banned in the district from 8 pm to 4 am for the smooth, safe and successful conduct of the Chardham Yatra. Only those with hotel bookings will be allowed to go till 10 pm.
Temporary seasonal post established
SP Arpan Yaduvanshi informed that Uttarkashi has established a temporary seasonal post in the accident prone area Songad and deployed police force. Apart from this, some changes have been made in the SOP issued by Uttarkashi Police earlier. This decision has been taken to curb the increasing road accidents and the convenience and safety of the pilgrims coming on the Chardham Yatra.
These changes have been made in the SOP
- Traffic will be banned from 8 pm to 4 am
- From 8 pm to 10 pm, only passengers with hotel bookings will be sent to the hotel beyond the barriers.
- Traffic will be completely banned after 10 pm.
- After four in the morning, the movement of traffic will be operated smoothly again.
