Vehicles will soon run on Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, a five-hour journey will be completed in two and a half hours

The fourth phase of Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is almost complete. Which connects the capital Dehradun to Rajaji National Park. If media reports are to be believed, if everything goes according to plan, the construction of the expressway will be completed by June and the 12 km elevated section will be operational by July.
The journey from Dehradun to Delhi will be completed in two and a half hours
Work is being done to continuously improve the roads in the state. After the construction of this road, the distance between Dehradun and Delhi will be reduced to 213 km instead of 235 km. Due to the size of six lanes, this distance will be covered in just two and a half hours. At present, it takes at least five to six hours to reach Delhi.
The project will be completed by June 30
Let us tell you that this expressway is Asia’s longest wildlife corridor. For which a 12 km long elevated flyover is being built. According to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), the deadline for completion of this project is expected to be completed by June 30. This expressway will connect Delhi to Dehradun via Saharanpur, Baghpat, Baraut and Shamli.
The entire highway will be completed by 2025
Initially, the expressway will be six lanes, which can be expanded to eight lanes. The construction of this expressway will reduce the travel time from Delhi to Dehradun from 5 hours to only 2.5 hours and the distance will be reduced from 235 km to 213 km. A part of the expressway is expected to be operational by July this year, while the entire highway is scheduled to be completed by May 2025.
So many vehicles are expected to pass through the route
Let us tell you that the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway project is estimated to cost around Rs 13,000 crore. After the expressway opens, officials expect that the number of vehicles using this route will increase to 20,000 to 30,000 daily.
