Someone threw slippers at PM Modi’s convoy in Varanasi

Varanasi- Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh for the first time on Tuesday after winning the Lok Sabha elections. Here he participated in many programs. Meanwhile, a video related to Prime Minister Modi’s convoy has surfaced on social media, in which a security personnel deployed for his security is seen removing something from the vehicle.

It is being told that a slipper has been thrown at his bulletproof car here. In the video of this incident that has surfaced, it can be seen that PM Modi’s convoy is passing through a crowded area and people are chanting Modi-Modi slogans. During this time, a slipper was allegedly thrown towards his convoy. However, it is not yet clear whether the person responsible for this act has been caught or not.

In the video on social media, his security personnel is seen picking up something from the car and throwing it and a voice is heard in the background that someone has thrown a slipper, but Royal Bulletin does not confirm this video. The video has been shared by many people on X. If this is true, then this is a case of serious lapse in the security of the PM. Congress’s National Convenor of Social Media, Luv Dutta, shared this video and wrote, ‘When did this happen? Someone threw a slipper at Modi’s car in Varanasi. It is clearly visible in the video that Modi’s security guard is picking up slippers from Modi’s car and throwing them. This is a lapse in the security of the Prime Minister and it should be investigated.’

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet have raised questions about this incident and linked it to the Prime Minister’s declining popularity. Supriya has written that throwing slippers on his car is wrong, no one is supporting it but the anger and retaliation inside the people also needs to be understood. It is the duty of the MP of Kashi to resolve this anger arising from helplessness and misery and this is the identity of democracy! Ajay Rai, the state president of Congress and the alliance candidate from Varanasi, while talking to the media, condemned the throwing of slippers on the PM’s convoy.
