Now trees will not be cut from Dilaram Chowk to the Chief Minister’s residence. Seeing the growing anger of the people, the Dhami government has come on the back foot. After which CM Dhami has told the concerned officials on the proposal of road widening from Dilaram Chowk to CM residence that road widening by cutting trees is wrong.

Let us tell you that 244 trees were to be cut in the road widening from Dilaram Chowk to Chief Minister’s residence in Dehradun. But the state government has withdrawn this decision on Thursday. Let us tell you that according to the proposal of PWD, a total of 244 trees were coming in the way of road widening, whose survey was being done and preparations were being made to send it to the government and the Center for permission to cut. But now after the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, ways are being found to widen the road without cutting trees.
