Uttarakhand / Dehradun: MLA tightened the screws on the officials, consensus reached on withdrawing the case
MLA Munna Singh Chauhan held a meeting with the officials of Energy Corporation and Jal Sansthan regarding the power and water cuts. He expressed displeasure over filing a case against the outgoing councilor and people for protesting. The MLA said that an agreement has been reached with the departmental officials to withdraw the case.
MLA Munna Singh Chauhan told the officials that phase changing takes place in the power sub-centres during peak time. Phase changing is causing problems during drinking water supply. All sub-centres should establish coordination and make arrangements for phase changing. Phase changing should not happen during drinking water supply. The MLA asked the officials to do minimum rostering. Jal Sansthan officials said that pumping of tubewells is also getting affected due to disruption in power supply. Drinking water supply has become smooth in about 90 percent of the area.
At the same time, on the statement of Congress leaders not holding Janta Darbar and officials’ meeting, the MLA said that he thanks the Congress friends for the unsolicited advice. During the meeting, Energy Corporation Executive Engineer Amit Saxena, SDO Kandwal, Executive Engineer Drinking Water Corporation Rajendra Pal, Assistant Engineer Jaipal Singh Chauhan, President of Pradhan Organization Narendra Tomar, outgoing councilor Ankit Joshi were present.
