Uttarakhand: Traders in Haldwani were angry over power cuts and created a ruckus outside the electricity department
There is anger among traders in Haldwani regarding the power cuts and low voltage in the midst of scorching heat. The Vyapar Mandal created a ruckus by protesting vigorously outside the office of the Electricity Department on Friday. The traders demanded smooth supply of electricity citing the loss due to power cuts as well as the trouble due to scorching heat.
Anger among traders over power cuts in Haldwani
Vyapar Mandal President Yogesh Sharma alleged that not only is the business coming to a standstill due to power cuts, but the general public is also completely troubled. Yogesh Sharma said that the Electricity Department and the State Government have completely failed to stop unannounced power cuts.
Electricity Department admitted mistake
On the other hand, Executive Engineer of Electricity Department Pradeep Kumar says that this is the first time that due to scorching heat, the load has increased by 30 percent. For which the systems of the electricity department were not ready. Hence such problems have come which have now been fixed.
