Truth and Reality

The record of many years was broken on the banks of Ganga, the scientists were shocked, said- how can we believe it

This year’s severe heat has worsened the health of Ganga in Varanasi. This time, compared to last year’s June, Ganga has gone down by one floor (about 15 feet). The situation is such that along with the middle of Ganga, the banks of Ganga are also turning into sandy coasts. Sand dunes have started accumulating on the concrete ghats here. It has been observed for the first time that sand and silt are accumulating on the ghats in the inhabited areas of Ganga. On this, scientists have said that it is hard to believe that the situation is getting so bad after seeing all this. This has to be stopped immediately; otherwise everything will be ruined.

This condition has developed on more than 40 ghats of Ganga in Varanasi. Sand and silt have reached from Scindia Ghat, Sakka Ghat, Lalita Ghat to Dashashwamedh Ghat and Pandey Ghat to Shivala. Assi Ghat has already been covered in sand and mud. The most sand and mud is deposited on Dashashwamedh Ghat. Tourists and devotees coming here first climb down the steps of the ghats and stand on the sand and mud to take pictures.

Sand deposited on Dashashwamedh Ghat and Rajghat, boating also difficult

Boaters also board the boats through the sand. A one and a half kilometer wide sand has formed from the greenery in front of Dashashwamedh Ghat. 2 kilometer wide sand has emerged between Gai Ghat and Rajghat. Long sand has emerged in the middle of the Ganga in front of the ghat. The availability of water here has reduced drastically. The scenes after this are becoming even more frightening. Due to the sand, one can clearly understand in which direction the situation is moving.

It is necessary to stop the uninterrupted flow of Ganga, scientists warned

According to Ganga scientists, the biggest reason for this is stopping the uninterrupted flow of Ganga, the water of Ganga is getting damaged due to dams. Earlier, the entire effort of the government for Ganga purification is failing because many efforts have been made for Ganga. Ganga Research Center BHU Prof. Dr. B. D. Tripathi said that STP plant has been built, sewage treatment plant has been built and everything is working but due to the decrease in the level of water in Ganga, the level of pollution is increasing. Due to lack of water in Ganga, the sewage of drains which is falling into it is increasing the pollution here.

All the plans for cleaning Ganga will be in vain, if…

In the last ten years, the government has run many plans for cleaning Ganga but the record water shortage is ruining all the efforts, in such a situation, if attention is not paid to the uninterrupted flow of Ganga, then all these plans will prove unsuccessful, in such a situation, along with the cleanliness of Ganga, the government will have to pay attention to the uninterrupted flow of Ganga.
