The Ministry of Education has constituted a high-level committee in the NTA case regarding the alleged rigging in the NEET UG 2024 exam. The Ministry of Education has constituted a high-level committee of experts to ensure transparent, smooth and fair conduct of examinations. The high-level committee headed by former ISRO Chairman and IIT Kanpur BoG Chairman Dr. K. Radhakrishnan will make recommendations on improving the mechanism of the examination process, improving data security protocols and the structure and functioning of the NTA.
The committee will submit the report in 2 months
The committee constituted by the Ministry of Education will assess the role and responsibilities of officials at every level in the NTA as well as the current process of resolving complaints of the NTA. It will identify where improvements are needed and present recommendations to increase its efficiency. The committee will submit its report to the ministry within 2 months.

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan wrote on his social media account ‘X’, ‘It is a commitment to conduct transparent, tamper-free and zero-error exams. The formation of a high-level committee of experts is the first step in a series of steps taken to improve the efficiency of the examination process, eliminate all possible malpractices, strengthen data security protocols and reform the NTA. Student interest and their bright future will always be the top priority of our government.
Education Minister had admitted – NTA needs reform
Earlier, amid the uproar over NEET-UGC NET, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had admitted that NTA needs reform. He had informed about the formation of a high level committee in a press conference. Warning of strict action against the culprits, he had said that the government is committed to zero error examination. The government is going to form a high level committee for investigation, which will make recommendations on NTA. The interest of the students is our priority. There will be no compromise in this. The government will not spare any culprit.
Three exams canceled or postponed in 9 days
The National Common Entrance Test was canceled on June 12. The UGC NET exam was canceled on June 19, the CSIR UGC NET exam to be held on June 25 was postponed on June 21.
