Uttarakhand: Now the land along the roads will not be cemented, plants will be planted

Now in Uttarakhand, cementing of land along the roads will be banned. In this regard, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed the Public Works Department, Urban Development and Housing Department as well as other departments to make a system. This step is being considered a commendable effort for environmental protection.

Now the land along the roads in the state will not be cemented. Rather, plants will be planted on this land. The government plans to plant trees on the raw land along the roads so that it can help in keeping the environment clean and tidy. For this, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has also given instructions to the concerned departments to make arrangements.
Road sides are being cemented for a long time
Let us tell you that the land along the roads is being cemented for a long time. Talking about Dehradun, Rajpur Road here is an example of this. Both ends of Rajpur Road have been paved. The same situation is with the roads of other cities and towns of the state.
The Chief Secretary had received suggestions not to cement the edges. Currently, the edges are being cemented in the construction of new roads. To stop this, aware citizens had requested the government and administration many times. Along with this, suggestions to develop the edges of the road by planting saplings instead of cementing them had also reached the Chief Secretary. After which he has given these instructions.
