Uttarakhand CM Dhami met PM Modi, sought land for BHEL, enquired about the condition of the injured in Almora forest fire

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. This was Dhami’s first official meeting after becoming the Prime Minister. In this meeting, Chief Minister Dhami talked to Prime Minister Modi about many projects of the state. Along with this, PM Modi talked to CM Dhami about the fire in the forests of Uttarakhand, including the Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand and the loss of life due to the fire. Prime Minister Modi said that all the people who have suffered due to the fire in the state should be given relief and assurance that the state and central government are with them. Along with this, proper treatment should also be arranged for the injured people.

CM presented a picture of Mahasu temple to PM

At the same time, this time PM Modi has been presented with a picture of Lord Mahasu temple established in Jaunsar Babar located in Chakrata, the capital Dehradun. After the picture of Mahasu Devta given by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, it is expected that now after Kainchi Dham, the state government can draw a map of development of this temple of Jaunsar Babar. This entire area has been waiting for development for a long time. Not only this, due to the dominance of Congress in this area, BJP wants to strengthen its hold in this area in some way or the other.

CM Dhami discussed these issues

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to re-review with the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Power on the final report of the Expert Committee-2 constituted on the instructions of the Supreme Court regarding the 24 hydropower projects proposed in Alaknanda, Bhagirathi and tributary rivers. PM Modi has also been requested that in view of the special geographical conditions of Uttarakhand, there is difficulty in selecting suitable land for compensatory plantation for the smooth implementation of the road construction project by the Government of India and its agencies in the state, because according to the currently prevalent Forest Conservation and Development Rules and Guidelines 2023, only non-forest land has been made the basis for the above purpose, in which compensatory plantation can be done in equivalent non-forest land. It has also been provided that the forest land recorded in the records of the Revenue Department is not under the control of the Forest Department.

Uttarakhand is a state of strategic importance

Apart from this, on double the forest land, Chief Minister Dhami said that Uttarakhand is 67 percent forest covered area. The availability of land for the development works of the state is less. Uttarakhand is a state of strategic importance adjoining the international border. In view of its importance, various institutions of the Government of India, NHAI, BRO, ITBP, Railways and Army Department are facing delay in getting approval for construction of roads and other structures in the forest land located in the state due to non-availability of land under the Forest Conservation and Development Act, 2023.

Talks held on tree plantation and other issues: CM Dhami has requested Prime Minister Modi to direct the concerned ministry to get compensatory tree plantation done in the ‘notified degraded forest land’ (reserved and protected forests) available in the state as before, keeping the system of notified rules, 2017 for non-forestry projects being done by the undertakings of the Government of India intact in view of the special geographical conditions and strategic importance of Uttarakhand and to give approval to the concerned ministry on the ongoing forest land transfer proposals for all these purposes.

Talks held regarding BHEL’s land

CM Dhami has requested the PM to transfer land from BHEL Haridwar to the state for Multi Model Logistics Park and industrial development. The Chief Minister apprised the Prime Minister that with the joint efforts of the Government of India and the State Government, Integrated Manufacturing Cluster, Khurpiya is being constructed on 1002 acres of land under 50-50 percent sharing. The value of the land provided by the State Government is Rs 410 crore and all NOCs have been received. The Chief Minister has also requested the Prime Minister for approval of Integrated Manufacturing Cluster, Khurpiya.

CM’s focus on Kumaon in meeting PM

Infrastructure development work has started in 16 out of 48 mythological temples identified under Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission. The Chief Minister has also requested the PM to provide assistance of Rs 1000 crore to the Prime Minister for making these temple routes 02 lanes and mutual connectivity. It has been told in the conversation that under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission, an action plan is being prepared for the development of Sharda Corridor to develop the famous Purnagiri Dham located in Kumaon region. Under the Manaskhand Mala Mission, a master plan is being prepared for the development of the famous Kainchi Dham located in Kumaon region. A master plan has been prepared to develop the border village Gunji (Adi Kailash area) located in Pithoragarh as an international tourist destination. Gunji has been divided into six components art culture, skill, knowledge, meditation, science and relaxation to be developed on the basis of the theme of “Shiv Nagari”. In the first phase, under Swadesh Darshan Yojana-2.0, it is proposed to develop Sadhna Kendra, Eco Trail, Resource Centre, Heritage Village and adventure activities in Gunji. The state government has conducted a survey to provide heli services for Gunji and Adi Kailash including Om Parvat.

CM Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, various issues related to the state were discussed

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday. During the meeting, the Chief Minister discussed various issues related to the state with the Home Minister. The Chief Minister said that as per the guidelines of recovery and reconstruction under the State Disaster Relief Fund, the state has to bear the required amount due to less funds for reconstruction. Due to limited resources with the state government, there is a delay in the reconstruction of the project. He requested the Union Home Minister to increase the funds for reconstruction under the State Disaster Relief Fund. The Chief Minister also requested the arrangement of funds for the state for the reconstruction of HT line of more than 33 kV capacity damaged by natural disaster in the standards of the State Disaster Relief Fund.

The Chief Minister said that there is a problem of parking in view of the increase in devotees and tourists in Nainital. He requested the Union Home Minister to give all the land of the enemy property Metropole Hotel complex in Nainital to the state government for vehicle parking and road widening.
