Preparations to implement 3 new criminal laws in Uttarakhand, 50 officers did master training course

Three new criminal laws are going to be implemented across the country from July 1, 2024. Preparations have been completed to implement these three new laws in Uttarakhand. In fact, a meeting was held with all the states through video conferencing on Tuesday under the chairmanship of the Home Secretary of the Government of India.

During the meeting, Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that the state of Uttarakhand is fully prepared for the three new criminal laws, Indian Civil Security Code 2023, Indian Justice Code 2023, Indian Security Act 2023, to be implemented from July 1. Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that only after the passage of the new criminal laws, in coordination with the Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI) and Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), 50 officers of the state from PTC / ATC and other training centers have been given master trainer course from Ghaziabad and Jaipur. Along with this, Uttarakhand Police has also prepared a handbook regarding the new laws, on the basis of which all the courses are being conducted. A method of reading laws in a simple way has been prepared in the police handbook. One copy of this is being given to all police officers and employees.

CS Radha Raturi said that despite getting less time, the training was decentralized at the district level. Such employees who do not have any direct interference in police investigation, such employees have been trained through online medium. An AI based online module was prepared for this.

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi said that about 1000 recruit employees of the civil police operating in the Recruit Training Centers have been given three-day training. Apart from this, about 500 head constables have also been trained on new criminal laws for promotion. All IPS officers and Senior Superintendents of Police of the districts have been trained by the Assistant Professor of National Law University, New Delhi. Along with this, all the police personnel have been registered on the iGOT Karmayogi portal.
