Heavy rain alert in these districts of Uttarakhand, warning issued for landslide affected areas

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of heavy rain for the next one week. Along with this, people traveling in hilly areas during the rain have been appealed to be cautious.

Director of the Meteorological Department Vikram Singh has predicted heavy rains on June 27 to 29 and July 2 and 3. Orange alert has been issued for this. According to meteorologists, heavy to very heavy rains are likely in Champawat and Nainital districts in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, yellow alert has been issued for Dehradun, Pauri, Bageshwar and Udham Singh Nagar.

Appeal to people traveling in hilly areas to be cautious

Meteorologists have expressed the possibility of debris and stones falling in landslide affected areas. Due to which it is advised not to travel in landslide affected areas. Apart from this, people traveling in hilly areas have been appealed to be cautious during the rain. During this time, winds are likely to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.
