After 88 years, Delhi witnessed heavy rains in the month of June, roads submerged, long traffic jams at many places

After scorching heat and hot winds, rain has been seen in Delhi. The rain did give relief but raised many questions on the arrangements. Flowing water on the city roads and stalled vehicles raised questions on the government arrangements.

So much rain in the month of June after 88 years

It is being said that so much rain has been seen in the month of June after 88 years. When it rained in the morning, information came out that a part of the roof fell at IGI Airport. Due to which a person also died.

Long traffic jams have also been seen at many places in Delhi. According to the officials of the Indian Meteorological Department, 228.1 mm of rain has been recorded at Safdarjung base station in the last 24 hours till 8:30 am on Friday. 148.5 mm of rain has been recorded at Safdarjung station from 2:30 am to 5:30 am.

Waterlogging at many places due to heavy rain

Waterlogging has been seen at many places due to heavy rain. Power has been cut off in many residential colonies and flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport have also been affected. The speed of the metro is also very slow.
