Heavy rain alert in seven districts of Uttarakhand

According to the Meteorological Center, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rain in Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Dehradun, Bageshwar and Nainital today. While there is a possibility of light rain in other districts of the state. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the Chardham pilgrims to be cautious.

Monsoon will knock on this day

According to meteorologists, the monsoon will knock in the state with the rain on June 28 and 29. After this, the period of heavy rain will continue in the entire state on June 30 and July 1. According to Vikram Singh, Director of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the state on July 2 and 3 as well. An orange alert has been issued for this.

Appeal to people in hilly areas to be cautious

Meteorologists have expressed the possibility of debris and stones falling in landslide affected areas. Due to which it has been advised not to travel in landslide affected areas. Apart from this, people traveling in hilly areas during rain have been appealed to be cautious. During this time, winds are likely to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour.
