Uttarakhand: Congress state president Karan Mahara claims – some officers are running the government, we will tell them when we come

The Dhami government of Uttarakhand is leaving no stone unturned to crack down on corruption and corrupt people. In the last 3 years, the government has taken action against the corrupt and sent them to jail. In the action taken so far, eight officers and 55 employees have been punished for corruption.

Despite this, the Congress party is not missing out on targeting the government. Congress state president Karan Mahara has described these figures as an eyewash. He said that such crimes did not happen during the Congress tenure. During the Congress rule, the names of the colleagues of the Central Cabinet who came to light under the Right to Information were put in jail. Not only this, Congress also took action against big leaders of its own party and ministers of allied parties for being involved in corruption. But during the BJP rule, women wrestlers accused an MP of sexual harassment. Even after that, the government kept avoiding taking action against the MP.

Similarly, no one knows what is happening on the Ankita Bhandari murder case, UKSSSC recruitment scam. Karan Mahara said that even though the government has taken action against the DFO on the cases of forest fire in the state, no action has been taken against the disaster management officials who play an important role in preventing forest fire. He alleged that everything is going wrong in the state.

Karan Mahara has also targeted some officials of the state. He says that there are 2 to 3 officers in the state who have formed a group. The purpose of these officers is to sideline the officers of Uttarakhand cadre and those living around Uttar Pradesh. In their place, promoted officers are being awarded important posts. But in the coming time, if Congress comes to power, then it will take account of all this. Today, even though we are in the opposition, but governments keep coming and going.

On Mahara’s statement, BJP MLA Vinod Chamoli says that corruption was at its peak during the Congress rule. Congress leaders and officers used to carry out corruption together. At that time it was difficult to identify corrupt officers, because they were doing corruption at the behest of the leaders. But if any official is found to be corrupt in the BJP regime, then that official is being identified and sent behind prison bars. Vinod Chamoli says that at that time Congress was completely involved in corruption and corrupt officials used to give impetus to corruption through politicians.
