Uttarakhand: Life lost due to selfie, woman dies after falling from mountain while taking picture
A woman died after falling from a hill into a ravine while taking a selfie in Matela area of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand on Thursday. The District Disaster Control Room gave this information. According to the District Disaster Control Room, the woman has been identified as Sonal Payal (37), a resident of Roorkee in Haridwar district, who was with her husband at that time. She was a ‘Chief Pharmacist’ in a hospital.
According to the District Disaster Control Room, Payal lost her balance while taking a selfie and fell 100 meters down the hill into a ravine and died on the spot.
Later, the Disaster Response Team descended into the ravine with the help of a rope and brought the body to the main road. The team also found the woman’s husband and took him to a safe place.
